Smith family

I opened Smith Family Chiropractic in January 2007 here in Tallahassee, Florida. Before moving back home, I practiced in South Florida for three years. I knew it was time to open a chiropractic office here that performed spinal correction to ensure that all our family and friends were given the opportunity to get well and stay well. I am passionate about providing my patients with the best care that I can! I am dedicated to constant and never ending education and personal improvement. I always want my patients to have the best experience possible in my office.

After graduation from Florida High as the Valedictorian in 1993, I attended Florida State University and received my undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences. I attended Life University in Marietta, Georgia as well as Logan Chiropractic School in St Louis, Missouri. I graduated Cum Laude from Logan in 1999. I received a Diplomate in Chiropractic Neurology in 1999 from the Carrick Institute. I want all my patients to learn how to move well, think well and eat well! I regularly donate my time to our community to speak about these issues and would love for you to join me at my office for a workshop!

What makes Smith Family Chiropractic unique? We are the orthodontics of chiropractic care which means that we work to correct the overall structure of the spine so that it is properly aligned. We analyze your posture and correct structural problems with the spine and nervous system. We never guess in our office. That is why if you are a candidate for our care, we take specific pictures of your spine so we can confirm any strengths or weaknesses in your spinal structure.

Chiropractors perform a variety of services and techniques. Smith Family Chiropractic uses a technique called Chiropractic BioPhysics. This technique is specifically designed to restore normal alignment to the spine. With this technique, we are able to incorporate physical therapy and spinal rehabilitation with our adjustments to get great results and a higher quality of life for our patients. If you have specific questions about the type of care you might need, I invite you to call the office at 850-325-6468.

Smith Family Chiropractic is for patients of all ages and needs. Scoliosis (curvature of the spine), Allergies, Asthma, Migraines, Headaches, TMJ, Pain, Numbness, Poor Posture and much, much more... The fact is only 10% of your body perceives pain. In most cases symptoms are the worst indication of disease because that means the problem has been there for a long time. If you are experiencing pain or symptoms, please don't wait! Procrastination is the thief of health!

I am committed to helping families in the community experience improved health and vitality. I serve locally on the board for Working Well and I am a member of a national group of wellness experts called the Wellness Champions. Because of this, I speak regularly to local schools, businesses and organizations on safety topics and on the sources of true health and wellness. I enjoy educating others on how to manage stress better, how to prevent injury in the workplace and at home, and how to maintain peak performance in all facets of life. My mission is to empower as many people as possible to experience their optimal health potential through genuine care and education. If your office, group or organization is looking for someone to provide wellness education, please call our Community Outreach Coordinator at 591-WELL to reserve a time.

I would love for each and every family in Tallahassee to come visit our office to see how your spine and nervous system are holding up. Don't wait until you are in pain!

Hi! My name is Elissa Pally or Dr. E as my friends call me.  I grew up just south of Boston, MA.  I love sports! My favorites are soccer, football, mixed martial arts and power lifting.

When I was 12 years old, I suffered a head injury during a soccer game that resulted in chronic sinus and allergy symptoms.  Over the next 12+ years, I was referred to a variety of doctors and prescribed numerous medications. None of the doctors or medications provided me any relief.  At the age of 25, I saw my first chiropractor.  He took x-rays of my entire spine and located the specific areas that were affected. I had no idea that an injury I sustained at the age of 12 could still be affecting my body at 25. My chiropractor explained the results of my x-rays to me and how chiropractic could help.  I received my first chiropractic adjustment at the age of 25 and after 12 years of chronic suffering I felt immediate relief.  I have been without sinus and allergy problems ever since!

In 2015, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.  The most difficult decision when receiving that diagnosis was deciding the type of treatment I was going to move forward with. One thing I knew for sure is that I would not stop my chiropractic care.  It was important to me to make sure that my nervous system was checked by my chiropractor to make sure I was subluxation free and functioning optimally so that my body could heal to the best of its ability.  I don’t just believe that chiropractic works. I know it works. I’ve lived it. I’m now cancer free!

I graduated from Post University in Waterbury, Connecticut with my Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies. At Post University, I played Division II Soccer. During school I decided that I wanted to be able to help people to heal naturally, so I went to the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist for 7 years specializing in deep tissue and sports massage. I graduated from Life University in March of 2017 with my Doctorate in Chiropractic.  Before graduation from Life University, I had the opportunity to work in Peru for 3 months to help spread the word of chiropractic in another country. It was an amazing experience and I helped hundreds of people understand and heal with chiropractic care.

I’m passionate about chiropractic and became a chiropractor to help as many people as I can heal naturally to live a happy and healthy life. I look forward to helping you on your journey to get well naturally!

Hi! My name is Heather and I am the Case Manager at Smith Family Chiropractic. My journey began in 2009 when I met Dr. Smith at a stress buster day he hosted for the middle school where I was teaching. At the time, I had a list of health problems a mile long and a drawer full of prescription and over the counter drugs, which were helping the symptoms but were not fixing the problems and in fact, were creating some new ones of their own (like a blood clot in my 20s!). I started seeing Dr. Smith as a patient and got such amazing results that two years later, I left my teaching position to help him help as many people as possible regain their health the way I did! By 2012, my health had improved so much that I was able to get pregnant, something I was told would never happen! I am so blessed to have my beautiful family of three and a job that I love because I get to see people's lives change every day. I can't wait to help you change yours!

Hi! My name is Chelsea and I am a  Chiropractic Assistant at Smith Family Chiropractic since February 2016. I am a born and raised Florida Girl who loves to be near the ocean! My journey started in Tallahassee when I attend Florida State University and I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education. After graduating I met my wonderful husband and we have made Tallahassee our forever home with our two fur dog babies Oakley and Maggie. I began teaching science in schools all over Leon County and then taught Pre-K for 4 years. My years of teaching showed me how much I love working with people of all ages. That is what I love about working at Smith Family Chiropractic, each day I wake up excited to help educate people about their health and make a difference in their life.

Hi! My name is Marybeth and I am a Chiropractic Assistant at Smith Family Chiropractic. I was born and raised here in Tallahassee, FL and received a Bachelor's in Biological Sciences from Florida State University. In my spare time, you can find me playing with my goldendoodle, Tucker, or cheering on the Noles! As an aspiring Physician Assistant, medicine has always been a passion of mine. Since starting here at Smith Family Chiropractic, I’ve had the opportunity to witness the benefits of natural medicine and treatments firsthand and I look forward to carrying these principles with me in my future career. I love getting to work directly with all of our patients and make a difference in their lives. I can’t wait to help you regain your health and well being too!

Hi, my name is Quinn and I am the Community Outreach Coordinator at Smith Family Chiropractic. I was born and raised in Algonquin, a northwest suburb of Chicago. In 2015 I graduated from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville where I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications. After graduation I worked as a Marketing and Development Coordinator at a non-profit agency that supports homeless women and children. Helping people in need will always be my biggest passion, but I was ready to build and share my skills with new people and communities. I moved to Tallahassee in March of 2017 (to see more sunshine, of course) and was lucky to find Smith Family Chiropractic where they share the same passion as me! I look forward to educating the community on holistic and natural ways to sustain their health in order to enjoy all the great things in life!

Hi! My name is Sarea and I joined the Smith Family team in May 2017. My passion for people and health lead me to Florida State University where I studied Exercise Physiology and Human Development (GO NOLES)!! My biggest goal in life is to travel the world regulating imagination with reality and discovering all the people and places I never knew existed. In my free time, you will find me at the beach and/or chasing after my two spunky pups Lola & Leo. What I love most about my job is being apart of each patient’s journey to optimal health and wellness, as well as witnessing the countless number of miracles that take place in our office! I can’t wait to be a part of your journey to better health and wellness too!

Hello!! My name is Jenna and I'm a native of Quincy, FL. I was raised on an ostrich farm until the age of 7 and have moved back and forth between Palm Bay and Tallahassee since then. My Faith is everything to me. I previously worked for Boys Town North Florida for about a year and fell in love with the children in the program. In my free time I plan on volunteering with Whitney's Hope to help those kids grow and mature once they age out of the system. I thank my baby brother for my passion for children, as he has down-syndrome and is a blessing to just be in the presence of. He motivates me to believe that children are our future and it is our responsibility to make it a bright one. Quincy and Choo-Choo are my fur babies and I love them like I love good food :) I'm very excited to be working at Smith Family Chiropractic mainly because of the patients and staff I'll be working with. I believe my best quality on the job is my outlook that things happen that we might not expect, and we learn to adjust; everything else is wasted energy. I can’t wait to help our patients regain and maintain their health so that their energy can be spent on things that matter to them!
